Pony Tactics

Hey everyone, director and writer Andysonic1 here!

It’s been quite a while since an official update from the Pony Tactics team, so I’d like to take this opportunity to talk a bit about Salvation.

First, we’ll touch on the story. While there are a few levels at the start of the game where you play as the Mane 6, they only act as a tutorial and bridge to the main game set 1000+ years in the past. The main cast of characters includes both male and female ponies, along with a few other races.

One of the races is a completely new race to Equestria: Owlkin! (name not final)

A group of Owlkin join the player’s party early into the story, aiding them on their journey.

What journey? While we aren’t prepared to reveal the entire plot yet, we can say that the characters are trying to outrun a large wave of monsters they dub “chaos creatures”. It is revealed over the course of the game what the cause of these monsters is and how the party can stop it.

Now for a bit of heartbreak for those thinking this will be a full conversion of any of your favorite tactics games: it will not. Salvation uses mechanics from many different tactics titles and is NOT trying to be the exact same game you have already played *now with ponies*. If there was one game Salvation leans closer to then any other, it would be Disgaea.

Now for something more exciting (at least I’m sure for some of you): open positions for the team! Below are the only current openings for the Pony Tactics team (soon to be updated on the main website).

These roles are very specific so if you apply make sure you can emulate the example’s used for your position. I will ask for you to show me specifically that you can do what you’ll say you can do, so prepare the images in advance to speed up the process! The very last role we’re requesting is a Stained Glass Window Artist. The example piece was created specifically for Salvation (not final). These windows act as Salvation’s overworlds, telling the story through the art and changing upon completion of battle maps.
